The day starts with a morning pickup from your hotel in Kemer centre, Beldibi, Göynük or Çamyuva. The convoy gathers and turns inland, and within a short climb the coast is gone and you are in the pine forests of the Taurus above Kemer, passing small mountain villages and terraced gardens on the way up. The air is cooler here and smells of resin.
You ride in an open-top 4x4 that seats eight to ten guests, with a professional driver; nobody in the group drives. Once the asphalt ends the trail is rock and dirt, and the jeeps tilt and bounce through ruts that have everyone gripping the safety bars. The tracks cross forest streams and churn through muddy water crossings, then climb to viewpoints where the green valleys open up and, beyond them, the Mediterranean.
Halfway through, the convoy stops at a clear mountain stream. This is the wet part of the day: wade in, cool off and throw water at the other jeeps before the trail continues. Lunch is a traditional meal at a rustic riverside restaurant among the pines, with time to dry off and sit in the quiet before the return. Drinks at the table are paid separately, as are any optional stops that charge an entrance fee.
The afternoon is one last dusty descent towards the coast, and the driver leaves you at your hotel gate. From pickup to drop-off the day takes approximately seven hours. Summer departures use open-top jeeps; in winter the fleet switches to covered vehicles. Guiding is in English, German, Russian and Turkish. Reservation is free with no prepayment: you pay in euros on the day, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. Pickup from Kiriş and Tekirova is on request.
