Where the day starts: hotel pickup on the Alanya belt
The open-top jeeps collect in the morning from hotels in Okurcalar, İncekum, Avsallar, Türkler, Konaklı, Alanya centre, Oba and Kestel. Wait for the jeep at your hotel's main entrance gate, a few minutes early. The exact pickup time depends on where your hotel sits on the route and is confirmed after booking.
Mahmutlar and Kargıcak are not on the scheduled pickup list. If you are staying there, write the hotel name in the booking and we will check whether a jeep can pass on that date; we cannot promise it in advance. A fuller reference of where we collect along the whole coast, region by region, is kept on the pickup page.
The climb into the Taurus and the Dim River crossings
Once the convoy leaves the coast road the asphalt gives way to dirt tracks and the jeeps climb through orange groves and banana plantations into the foothills above Alanya. The convoy travels together and shares the same photo stops.
The Dim River (Dimçayı) is the thread of the day. The jeeps cross it where the track meets the water, and there are photo stops at a waterfall and above the turquoise water of the Dim Dam. How much water is running depends on the season, so we describe these as stops rather than promises.
Village stop, swim and lunch on the platform restaurant
On the way the convoy pulls into a mountain village. Farmers sell their own produce, there is spring water to refill bottles and a viewpoint for a photo of the coastline below. A short visit to a village house and the village mosque shows how people live above the resorts; please dress with that in mind and follow the driver's lead at the mosque.
The swim stop and lunch share the same place: a platform restaurant built over the Dim River. You can cool off in the river before or after eating; lunch is included, drinks are paid separately at the table. On summer departures the jeeps stage water fights with each other along the way, so expect to arrive at lunch already wet.
Dim Cave: an optional stop
Dim Cave is an optional stop. It is not included in the tour price: a small entrance fee is paid locally by anyone who wants to go in. Guests who prefer to stay outside wait with the driver.
Whether the convoy stops there depends on the day's timing, so please ask the driver in the morning if the cave matters to you. Keep a little cash for it, separate from the money you bring for lunch drinks.

Who the Alanya jeep safari suits
Each open-top 4x4 carries 8-10 guests and a professional driver; guests are passengers and never drive. Families are welcome: adults are counted from 13, children aged 4-12 pay the child rate in the booking form, and infants aged 0-3 ride free.
The tracks are rough and the jeeps bounce. We do not recommend the day for pregnant guests or for anyone with back or neck problems; if that applies to you, tell us before boarding rather than at the first river. You will get wet at the crossings and in the water fights, so pack a change of clothes, a towel and shoes that can take water.
Season and vehicles
The Alanya departure runs daily in season, from spring into autumn. In the warm months the jeeps are open-top, which is what makes the water fights possible. When a run goes out in the cooler part of the year, covered jeeps replace the open ones; the water fights belong to summer departures.
If you are comparing regions or want packing and season notes for the whole province, the guide to the whole coast collects them in one long read.
Booking, payment and cancellation
You can reserve the Alanya Dim River jeep safari online without a card: the form takes your hotel, date and group, and we reply with the pickup confirmation. No money changes hands online: you pay in euros on the day of the tour.
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure; a WhatsApp message to +90 536 603 75 84 is enough. Guiding on the day is in English, German, Russian and Turkish. If you want to see how this departure compares with the other regions, all five adult prices in one place are on the price page.
Neighbouring departures and the province overview
West of Okurcalar the coast belongs to another route. If your hotel is in Manavgat or Side itself, the departure from Side is the one that collects you, with its own route and its own pickup belt.
This page covers one of five regional departures. The overview of the jeep safari across the whole Antalya province explains how the Side, Alanya, Belek, Antalya and Kemer days differ and which belt each one serves.
Still undecided between two regions? Read the comparison of the five departures before you book; it sets the routes, durations and pickup belts side by side.
Guests in the resorts along the western coast road have their own page, with the hotel areas we collect from there.
If the fare is the part you are weighing, there is a page on what the Alanya day costs, line by line, including the one stop that is paid locally.
