Jeep Safari from Lara and Kundu: One Departure for Both Resort Areas

Yes — Lara and Kundu are both scheduled pickup areas of the Antalya jeep safari, so one and the same open-top 4x4 day collects at either hotel gate and no extra transfer is needed. It is a shared day of approximately 7 hours in the Taurus foothills, with river crossings, a mountain village and a riverside lunch, at €35 per adult. Reserving takes no payment online; the fare comes due in euros on the day of the tour.

Where the day starts: Lara, Kundu, Konyaaltı and the city centre

The Antalya departure serves the whole city belt. On the east side that is the Lara and Kundu resort strip; on the west side it is Konyaaltı; in between it is the hotels of the city centre itself. Wherever you stay within these four areas, the jeep collects you in the morning at the main entrance gate of your hotel. The exact time is confirmed after booking and varies by hotel, because the convoy is assembled hotel by hotel before it turns inland.

If you want to see how collection works along the whole coast, including the resort areas outside the city, the pickup rules for every region are laid out on their own page, belt by belt.

Not sure the city departure is the right one for your hotel? The page on choosing between the five departures walks through which stretch of coast each departure serves, from Alanya in the east to Kemer in the west.

The shape of the day

Once the last hotel has been collected, the road leaves the coast and climbs into the Taurus foothills. The tarmac runs through pine forest, past citrus orchards and along streams before the convoy turns onto dirt. From there the open-top jeeps follow dusty mountain tracks and cross shallow rivers, with stops at viewpoints that look out over green valleys.

The whole outing takes approximately 7 hours from pickup to drop-off. The afternoon ends with a scenic descent back to the coast and the same drop-off at your hotel gate. A professional driver is behind the wheel of every jeep for the entire day; you ride as a passenger and keep your hands free for the camera and the water pistol.

River stops, the village and lunch

The river stops are where the day gets loud. In summer the jeeps pull up beside the water and the water fights begin, jeep against jeep, with the shallow crossings soaking whoever sits nearest the edge. You will get wet, so pack a change of clothes and keep phones and cameras in something waterproof.

Between the river stops the convoy calls at a mountain village where traditional crafts are still practised, with time to walk around. Lunch is served at a riverside restaurant beside running water and is included in the day; drinks are ordered and paid for separately.

What is included and what you pay on site

The Antalya jeep safari is sold as one package: the price covers the whole day rather than a seat in the jeep alone. This is exactly what is included and what is not.

The adult price stands above in the short answer, and the child rate for children aged 4-12 is shown in the booking form. To see how the Antalya day sits against the four other regions we serve, read the five prices compared on the price page.

Who the day suits

Adults are anyone aged 13-99, children aged 4-12 pay the child rate shown in the booking form, and infants aged 0-3 travel free. For families with school-age children the river stops and the water fights are the obvious draw.

The tracks are rough and the jeeps do not hide it. The day is not recommended for pregnant guests or for guests with back or neck problems; if that applies to you, tell us before boarding. Each open-top 4x4 seats 8-10 guests per jeep plus the professional driver, and guests never take the wheel.

Season and vehicles

The Antalya departure runs daily in season. The vehicles are open-top 4x4 jeeps, which is what makes the dust, the river spray and the views part of the day rather than something seen through a window. On winter runs covered jeeps are used instead. The water fights are a summer feature.

Wear clothes you do not mind getting dusty and wet, shoes that can take a river crossing, a hat and sunscreen. A change of clothes belongs in the bag whatever the month.

Booking, payment and cancellation

You can book the Antalya jeep safari in a few minutes without paying anything: choose your date, enter the number of adults and children and the name of your hotel, and the reservation is confirmed. No card details are requested at that point — the fare is settled in euros on the day of the tour.

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. For questions about a hotel outside these four areas, a late booking or a change of date, write to us on WhatsApp at +90 536 603 75 84. Guiding on the day is available in English, German, Russian and Turkish.

Staying outside the city belt: Belek to the east, Kemer to the west

The city departure stops at the edge of the Antalya belt. If your hotel is on the golf coast beyond Kundu, in Belek, Kadriye or Boğazkent, the Belek departure collects from those resorts and runs its own day of approximately 7 hours.

West of Konyaaltı the coast road continues towards Beldibi, Göynük, Çamyuva and Kemer; hotels there are served by the Kemer departure, also approximately 7 hours, with its own climb through the pine forests.

Questions

Questions about this tour

My hotel is in Antalya city centre, not in Lara. Can I still be collected?
Yes. The city centre is one of the four pickup areas on the Antalya departure, together with Lara, Kundu and Konyaaltı. Give the hotel name when you book and wait at the main entrance gate in the morning.
Does the jeep safari collect from Konyaaltı?
It does. Konyaaltı is on the west side of the city and is a standard pickup area for this departure; the exact time is confirmed after booking and differs from hotel to hotel.
How long is the jeep safari from Lara and Kundu?
Approximately 7 hours from hotel gate to hotel gate, including the drive into the foothills, the river stops, the village, lunch and the descent.
Can we drive ourselves, or is there a driver?
There is a driver. Every jeep has a professional driver for the whole day and guests travel as passengers. Nobody in the group takes the wheel.
Is the day suitable for children?
Children aged 4-12 are welcome at the child rate shown in the booking form, and infants aged 0-3 ride free. The river stops are where the water fights happen; on the bumpy stretches small children should be held firmly.
Do I have to pay in advance?
No. Reserving costs nothing and the form asks for no card. You pay in euros on the day of the tour, and calling it off costs nothing provided we hear from you at least 24 hours before departure.
Will we really get wet?
In summer, yes. The river crossings and the water fights between jeeps are part of the day, so bring a change of clothes and something waterproof for your phone.
What languages does the guide speak?
Guiding on the day is available in English, German, Russian and Turkish.
