How Much Cash to Bring on an Antalya Jeep Safari

Bring euros in cash: the tour itself is settled on the day, not online, and nothing is taken from a card when you reserve. On top of the fare, plan for drinks, which are never included, and for whichever optional stop your route offers — the boat hour on Green Lake from Side, a cave visit on the Alanya day, or a waterfall entrance paid on site when the programme includes it. Photographs taken by the tour team and anything personal are extra as well.

Why there is anything to carry at all

This is a pay-on-the-day operation, and that is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. The reservation form asks for a name, a hotel and a date; it does not ask for card details, and no deposit leaves your account while you are still at home. The money changes hands in Türkiye, on the day of the tour itself — which is why the question exists at all.

The amount per person is shown on the booking rail of each departure, split into the adult, child and infant bands, and it is not repeated in this article on purpose — a figure typed into prose is right until the day it is not. If you want to compare the five departures side by side, what each departure costs per person is set out on its own page and kept current there.

Euros, and in cash

Euros are the currency for every departure on this coast. Bringing the fare in reasonably small notes makes the morning easier for everybody; a jeep on a mountain track is not a place where change appears on demand. Do not count on a card terminal or a cash machine once the convoy has left the coast road: what you carry out of the hotel is what the day has.

Keep it dry. Water is not incidental on these routes — there are stream crossings, and in summer there are water fights between the jeeps — so notes travel best in the same sealed pouch as your phone rather than loose in a shorts pocket.

What the fare has already paid for

Four things are inside the price on every one of the five departures, and none of them needs cash on the day.

That list is the same whether you are collected on the Side belt, in Alanya, in Belek, along the Antalya city belt or in Kemer. Lunch is a proper sit-down meal beside water, already accounted for before you set out.

  • Hotel pickup and drop-off within your region's resort belt
  • A full day in the mountains with a professional driver
  • Lunch at a riverside or lakeside restaurant
  • Guiding through the day

What is never inside it

Drinks are excluded everywhere, including at lunch. That is the most common surprise, and it is worth budgeting as a group: a table of six on a hot afternoon gets through more bottled water than anyone expects.

Photographs and video filmed by the tour team are a separate purchase if you want them, and nothing obliges you to. Personal spending — a tea at a village stop, something bought from a stall — is yours, and so is any optional stop that charges to go in.

  • Drinks, at lunch and everywhere else
  • Photos and video taken by the tour team
  • Personal spending along the way
  • Optional stops with an entrance charge, settled on site

The optional extras, route by route

Only one of them has a figure we are willing to print. On the Side day, the boat hour on Green Lake is offered as an extra at €5 per person, settled on the day, and it is genuinely optional — guests who stay ashore lose nothing from the programme they booked. The Side jeep safari day is described stop by stop on its own page if you want to see where that hour sits.

The Alanya route passes a cave that can be visited for a small charge collected locally; we do not publish that number because it is not ours to set. On the Side programme there may also be a stop at the Manavgat Waterfall, and where the day includes it there is a fee at the gate. It is programme-dependent, so treat it as a possibility to have money for rather than as a fixture of the itinerary.

The three western departures — Belek, the Antalya city belt and Kemer — carry no paid extra that we can promise. Their records name none, so the honest advice is to bring drink money and a small reserve for an optional stop that charges to go in.

So how much, in practice

We will not invent a total, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What is defensible is the structure: the fare per person for each traveller in your party, an allowance for drinks across the day, and a small reserve for one optional stop if your route has one. Anything left over goes home with you.

Children aged 4 to 12 pay the child band and infants aged 0 to 3 travel free, so a family total is not simply the adult figure multiplied by heads. The booking rail does that arithmetic for you before anything is confirmed, and how the free reservation works is explained separately for anyone who wants the sequence in writing before they commit.

A small envelope, and where to put it

The practical answer most guests land on is an envelope or a zip bag with the day's money in it, carried in the same waterproof pouch as the phone, with the rest of the holiday cash left in the hotel safe. Nothing on the route requires a wallet or a card.

That pouch is the one piece of equipment worth buying before you travel rather than after you are wet. The full list of what to bring covers the rest of it — closed shoes, a towel, dry clothes, sun protection — and none of the rest costs anything on the day.

Questions

Questions about this tour

Is the jeep safari paid online or on the day?
On the day. No card is taken at reservation and nothing is charged in advance; the fare is due in euros on the day of the tour, so it is worth carrying that amount in cash.
Which currency should we carry for the day?
Euros. That is the currency the fare is quoted and settled in on every one of the five departures along this coast.
Are drinks included with the lunch?
No. Lunch is included on every departure, but drinks are excluded there and everywhere else during the day, so carry something for them.
What does the boat hour on Green Lake cost?
It is offered on the Side day at €5 per person, settled on the day itself. It is optional, and skipping it takes nothing away from the rest of the programme.
Do we need money for the cave on the Alanya route?
If you want to go in, yes — there is a small charge collected locally. We do not publish the figure because the site sets it, not us.
Will there be a cash machine or a card terminal on the route?
Plan as though there is not. Leave the hotel with everything the day needs in cash and keep it in a waterproof pouch.
