The four things we can state
Safety pages for excursions tend to be long and vague. Ours is short on purpose: the five departures share four verified facts about the day, and those four are the whole of what this site says on the subject. Anything else you read about jeep safaris elsewhere is not a claim we make.

Who drives, and why that matters
The jeep safari is a passenger day. A professional driver takes each jeep from the hotel gate up the tracks, through the crossings and back, and nobody from the party takes the wheel at any point on any of the five routes. That removes the question most people are really asking — whether they or their fellow guests are up to the terrain — because the terrain is the drivers' job. Your job is to hold on.
The tracks themselves are dry riverbeds, red-earth and rocky trails, shallow river crossings and, above Kemer, muddy water crossings; what the off-road tracks are like on each route is described on the off-road page. Expect bumps, ruts and dust in summer, mud after rain.
Who should not come
The records for the five departures say the same thing in the same words: the tracks are rough, and the day is not recommended for pregnant guests or for guests with back or neck problems. We repeat that here without softening it. An open-top 4x4 on a rutted mountain track jolts, and a swim stop does not undo a morning of jolting.
If you are unsure whether a condition of yours falls under that sentence, tell us before boarding — on WhatsApp when you reserve, or to the driver at the hotel gate. We would rather answer a question the evening before than see a guest sit out the crossings.
Children on the jeep safari
Children are welcome on all five departures and ride the same tracks as the adults. Children aged 4-12 pay the child rate shown in the booking form, infants aged 0-3 travel free, and each child must be accompanied by an adult. That is the whole of the rule; there is no separate children's programme and no shortened day.
In practice the water fights and the swim stops are the part children remember, which is also why the packing list matters for them: closed shoes that can get wet, swimwear under clothes, a change of clothes and a hat.
Water, dust and sun
In summer you will get wet — from the water fights between the jeeps, from the crossings and from the swim or wading stop on each route — and you will get dusty on the open-top stretches between the pine and citrus. Neither is a hazard; both are the reason the packing list for the day exists. Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses cover the sun; a waterproof pouch covers your phone.
In winter the fleet switches to covered jeeps and the water games are left out, so the day is drier and the same route is driven with a roof.
Weather, and the decision to run
The departures run daily in season. When weather makes a day unsafe, the day is rescheduled free of charge, and the decision is made on safety rather than on a forecast; we will not pretend that rain leaves the day untouched, because that would not be true. What we deliberately do not claim
You will not find on this site any statement about equipment fitted to the jeeps, any figure about incidents or guests carried, any award or rating, or any promise that the day is without risk. The records we work from do not contain those things, and a safety claim that cannot be shown is worth less than none. Choosing a departure and reserving
The four facts above are the same for Side, Alanya, Belek, the Antalya city belt and Kemer; what differs is the country and the water on each route, and the belt your hotel stands in decides which one you can book. The departure for your resort is settled on the decision page in one list.
Reserving takes no card and no prepayment. If your hotel is in Lara, Kundu, Konyaaltı or the city centre, book the Antalya jeep safari and settle the fare in cash when the day comes; cancelling is free until 24 hours before departure.
